History:
The Department of Organic Agriculture Management was established in [foundation year] in order to contribute to the awareness of sustainable agriculture and preserving the ecological balance. From the very first day, it aimed to increase the scientific knowledge in the field of agriculture and management and to train the qualified individuals needed in this field. Our department has undertaken many projects on organic agriculture and management at national and international levels and has made a name for itself with various collaborations. The projects implemented to date include the dissemination of organic agriculture methods, training programs for farmers and research activities aimed at sectoral needs.

Department Program Outcomes:
​Students graduating from our department;

• Applying organic farming methods consciously and effectively,
• Planning, executing and supervising organic product production processes,
• Being equipped with business and marketing skills,
• Providing innovative solutions to the sector by using information technologies effectively,
• Having awareness of business ethics and social responsibility,
• They gain the skills to produce organic agricultural products in accordance with national and international standards. Our graduates are equipped with theoretical knowledge and practical experience in accordance with the needs of the sector.

Language / Type of Education:
​The Department of Organic Farming Management offers Turkish education in the form of formal education. Our program aims to provide bilingual education opportunities for international students by providing English content in certain courses. In addition, our work to develop an infrastructure that can be integrated into distance education systems with the support of modern technologies continues.

Infrastructure Facilities:
Our department offers students a strong technical and physical infrastructure.

• Modern laboratories for organic farming practices,
• Greenhouse areas focused on research and production,
• Plant and animal production workshops,
• There are work areas equipped with equipment and tools used in organic farming. In addition, cooperation is made with agricultural enterprises to enrich the education process of our students, and internships and field studies are supported.

The Department of Organic Agriculture Management continues to offer scientifically based, practical and innovative education to train leading individuals in the sector.

• Course Contents / Course Catalog

Double Major Program: Allows students to earn a bachelor's degree in a field they are interested in, in addition to their primary field. In this program, students can complete courses in two different fields and earn a diploma in both fields.

Minor Program: Allows students to take a certain number of courses in a field they are interested in, outside of their major. Students who complete the minor program are given an official certificate in that field; however, this does not mean a second undergraduate degree.

Aims and Objectives of the Department / Program:
​The Department of Organic Agriculture Management aims to provide its students with the necessary knowledge and skills in the fields of organic agriculture and business management and to enable them to become experts who will make a difference in their professional life. Our education program aims to raise individuals equipped with sustainable agricultural techniques and business management skills by blending theoretical knowledge with practice. By adopting modern methods that protect the ecological balance, our students will have the qualifications to offer innovative solutions needed in the sector.

Current Status and Future of the Department / Program:
​The Department of Organic Agriculture Management continues its education and research activities with a large academic staff, modern infrastructure and strong industry connections. Currently, many national and international projects are being carried out for the development of organic agriculture and students are offered field studies, internship opportunities and practical training opportunities. In the future, the goal of our department is to integrate into digital agriculture practices by using technology more effectively and to develop new approaches focused on sustainability in organic agriculture. We also aim to expand our international collaboration network and offer career opportunities to our students at a global level.

​There is a wide range of careers for Organic Agriculture Management graduates. Among the professions that can be practiced:

In the future, the importance of individuals specializing in digital agriculture practices, carbon footprint management, sustainable food systems and innovative agricultural technologies will increase.

Job Opportunities:
​Our graduates have a wide range of job opportunities in both the public and private sectors. In the public sector, they can work in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, municipalities and affiliated organizations. In the private sector, they can find work opportunities in companies producing organic agricultural products, agricultural consulting companies, organic certification organizations, logistics and export companies.

Our department supports our graduates in finding a job by developing close collaborations with companies and public institutions in the sector. In addition, our students who develop their entrepreneurial skills can have the chance to contribute to the sector by establishing their own organic farming businesses.
